Terms & Conditions


The below sets out the terms and conditions related to applicantions for the Fáilte Programme run by Carrolls Irish Gifts. Note, this programme is only open to businesses based in the Island of Ireland.

1. Fáilte is an initiative of Carrolls Irish Gifts.

2. To enter Fáilte entrants must complete an application form here.

3. Fáilte is open to entrepreneurs, start up’s and small businesses with products in the Gift, Jewellery, food or clothing categories.

4. All entries must be received by Carrolls Irish Gifts by 11.59pm on 4th May 2025.

5. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by phone or email to organise an appointment to meet with Carrolls Irish Gifts to view the applicants range and discuss a potential presentation from the applicant.

6. All meetings will take place at Carrolls Irish Gifts Head Office based at Fonthill Retail Park, Dublin 22.

7. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that their product has met all eligibility criteria set out by Carrolls Irish Gifts.

8. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed by email as soon as possible after the entry deadline has passed.

9. Late, incomplete, or illegible entries will not be considered.

10. Carrolls Irish Gifts is not responsible for any technical failure or malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind or human error of any kind which may result in an entry being delayed, lost or not properly registered.

11. The entry must be made by the supplier of the product(s).

12. The successful applicants products must be available for Sale for October 2025.

13. All products for sale must be in the suppliers own branding and must meet relevant safety and security standards.

14. Carrolls Irish Gifts maintains the right to use the supplier’s name and product images submitted as part of the initiative for advertising purposes to include but not limited to, social media, press, leaflets, instore point of sale.

15. Applicants’ headshot imagery and pack shot imagery may be required.

16. Carrolls Irish Gifts may make product or supplier information available on social media for the purposes of carrying out a public poll where members of the public can vote.

17. Carrolls Irish Gifts may select random suppliers to work as Brand Ambassadors to help promote the initiative.

18. If Carrolls Irish Gifts elects to operate a public poll on social media the outcome of the poll is not binding and does not determine whether a supplier product will be selected.

19. Applicants must be able to scale production to fulfil orders.

20. The applicant must be registered for value added tax (VAT) in the Republic of Ireland.

21. The applicant must be over 18 years of age.

22. Fáilte is open to current and new suppliers.

23. The decision of Carrolls Irish Gifts and the judges regarding any aspect of the initiative is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the initiative.

24. Applicants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. Carrolls Irish Gifts reserves the right to refuse entry to the programme competition, or refuse to award a prize to any applicant in breach of these terms and conditions.

25. If any person is found to be in disregard of these terms and conditions then Carrolls Irish Gifts reserves the right to disqualify the applicant, for any reason whatsoever, in its sole discretion.

26. Carrolls Irish Gifts reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend or amend the initiative where it becomes necessary to do so.

27. Insofar as is permitted by law, Carrolls Irish Gifts, will not in any circumstance be responsible or liable to compensate any applicant or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of an applicant being selected as a successful applicant.

28. Successful applicants will have to enter into an agreement with Carrolls Irish Gifts in advance of the applicants products going on sale in Carrolls Irish Gifts stores and online.

29. Applicants must specify on the application form if they are taking part in any other small supplier development programme.
