Tournament Dates and Venues

The 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup is almost here, and excitement is building across the nation. From August 22nd to September 27th, the world’s top women’s rugby teams will battle it out across England, with the grand final – and the bronze final – taking place at the iconic Twickenham Stadium on September 27th.

Record-Breaking Ticket Sales

This year’s tournament promises to be truly historic. A brand new sterling silver, 24-carat gold-plated trophy will be awarded to the champions, and a record-breaking 300,000+ tickets have already been sold, making this the largest Women’s Rugby World Cup in history.

A Proud History of Irish Women’s Rugby

At Carroll’s Irish Gifts, we’re proud to stand behind our Girls in Green as they take to the pitch for this monumental tournament. The Irish Women’s Rugby Football Union, established in 1992, has given us decades of thrilling moments since the team’s first international match against Scotland in 1993.

Iconic Moments in Ireland’s Rugby Journey

Over the years, Ireland has achieved remarkable milestones, from winning the Women’s Six Nations Championships in 2013 and 2015 (including an unforgettable Grand Slam in 2013) to making history in 2024 with a sensational victory over reigning world champions New Zealand in the WXV1 competition. That win was described as one of the greatest moments in Irish rugby history, reigniting hope for the future of women’s rugby.

Rising Stars and Record Breakers

Ireland’s squad is brimming with talent, featuring players who have earned international recognition. Erin King, named Women’s Breakthrough Player of the Year at the World Rugby Awards 2024, became the first Irish female player to claim an individual accolade at the awards. And Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe, the first Irish player, male or female, to score 200 tries in the SVNS Series, cementing her place as one of the sport’s all-time greats. With this blend of skill, passion, and resilience, Ireland heads into the tournament ready to take on the world.

Standing Proud Behind the Girls in Green

This team has faced challenges in recent years, but they’ve proven time and again that they can rise to meet them. The 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup is more than just a tournament, it’s a chance for Ireland to inspire a new generation of players and fans.

From all of us at Carroll’s Irish Gifts, Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh, Girls in Green! We’ll be behind you every step of the way.
